FAQ
Is this extra tutoring or remedial reading classes?
No, not at all. There are zero worksheets, memorization drills, or graded tests. The sessions are run like an interactive, screen-free creative studio. We focus on story-decoding games, creative writing, and hands-on crafts to help kids build focus, confidence, and a genuine love for books.
My child hates reading and prefers screens. Will they enjoy this?
Yes, the program is designed specifically with reluctant readers in mind. Most tweens do not dislike stories—they dislike the academic pressure of being tested on them. By using fast-paced games (like our Heads Up story recall challenges) and artisan crafts, reading becomes an interactive puzzle rather than a school chore.
What age group is this program suitable for?
The sessions are built specifically for tweens and teens aged 10 to 14 years old. The themes, writing prompts, and book crafts are tailored to be mature and engaging for this age bracket so it never feels childish.
How long is each session, and what are the time slots?
Each session runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes. You can choose between two convenient weekend slots:
Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
What is the class size?
We keep our groups small with limited slots per cohort to ensure every student gets personal attention, active participation in story games, and guidance during craft activities.
Do we need to bring any books, notebooks, or craft tools?
No need to bring anything! We provide all reading excerpts, writing stationery, and artisan craft materials (including tools, paper, and art supplies).
What kinds of crafts will my child make?
Students create physical keepsakes tied directly to the stories they explore—such as hand-stitched pocket journals, custom bookmarks, or altered-text book art. They take their finished projects home to keep on their shelf as a reminder of what they learned.
