FAQ
What art supplies are included in the session fee?
Your session fee covers all the essential materials you'll need to create! This includes paint supplies (your choice of watercolor or acrylic), an A5 paper canvas, a clipboard, and a full set of brushes.
What's the difference between the watercolor and acrylic paint sessions?
The main difference is the paint's properties and the final look:
Watercolor: Activated by water, this paint is great for creating soft washes, subtle blends, and fine detail. It offers easier control for beginners.
Acrylic: This paint can be used straight from the tube for a rich, vibrant finish, making it ideal for bolder colors. However, it dries faster, so it requires a quicker hand
.Do I need to have painting experience?
Absolutely not! Our sessions are designed for everyone, from absolute beginners to seasoned artists. The goal is to provide a safe, creative space for you to freely express and get creative, regardless of your skill level.
Can I bring my own art supplies?
Yes, you are welcome to bring and use your own art supplies. Please note that the standard entrance fee still applies for the use of our bookstore facilities and space.
Can I take my artwork home?
Of course! Your masterpiece is yours to keep. You can bring your artwork home immediately after your session.
What is the minimum and maximum group size for a session?
We happily accommodate groups ranging from a minimum of 1 person up to a maximum of 20 people. For larger groups (over 10), we highly recommend booking well in advance.
Should I book in advance or can I do a walk-in?
While we sometimes have availability for walk-ins, we highly encourage booking in advance. This ensures we have enough supplies prepped for you and prevents any scheduling conflicts with other client bookings.
What are the prices for the regular sessions?
Our standard self-guided sessions are priced as follows:
Watercolor Session: $8 per person
Acrylic Session: $10 per person
Can I rent a camera during my session?
Yes, you may! We offer camera rentals to help you capture your creative process. Please secure your camera rental through the booking link here.
Will there be a painting instructor or facilitator during the session?
Our regular self-guided sessions (priced at $8/$10) do not include a dedicated facilitator. However, if you would like a guided experience, you can add a facilitator for $25 per head.
What is the role of the facilitator?
A facilitator is there to enhance your experience! Their role is to teach the basics of painting (technique, color mixing, brush care) and to provide prompts and guidance to kickstart your creative project.
Can I dine in while I paint?
Yes, you can! We offer a pleasant dine-in experience alongside your painting session. Please ensure you secure your dine-in booking through the link here.
