Sekolah Rendah Sungai Siamas
The Storytelling Adventure 2025 ended at Sekolah Rendah Sungai Siamas with a storytelling session of The Proudest Blue, a lively gameshow, and a creative character design workshop. Organized by The Honey Bookstore and sponsored by the U.S. Embassy to Brunei Darussalam, the event celebrated the power of stories to inspire, connect, and empower young minds, marking a memorable conclusion to a meaningful year-long journey.
The highlight of the event was a touching gesture from one of the students, who surprised us with beautifully hand-drawn portraits of each team member. Each portrait was carefully crafted, capturing unique details that showed how much thought and effort had gone into the drawings. Along with the portraits, the student gifted us Labubu sticky notes, making the moment even more special. It was incredibly heartwarming to see how she reciprocated the love and care we've shown throughout the program, reminding us of the deep impact storytelling and connection can have on young minds.
The character design workshop session highlighted the students' creativity and enthusiasm. Throughout the session, many students eagerly requested extra sheets of paper to continue expressing their ideas, even after completing four rounds of character drawing. The energy in the room was infectious, and it was clear that the workshop inspired the students to think outside the box and push their artistic boundaries.
